Convicted killer John "Patrick" Koa Lorenzo Jr. today had 15 years tacked on to his back-to-back murder prison sentences for two drug offenses.

Circuit Judge Karl Sakamoto sentenced Lorenzo, 36, to consecutive terms of 10 years imprisonment for second-degree promoting a dangerous drug and five years for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The February 2007 shooting death of sheriff's deputy Daniel Browne-Sanchez, who was working off-duty at Osake Sushi Bar and Lounge, occurred while Lorenzo was awaiting sentencing on four drug charges initially brought against him in 2005. Sentencing in the drug case was delayed four times in 2006 and again in 2007 after Sakamoto granted Lorenzo time to complete drug treatment.

Sakamoto sentenced Lorenzo in March to back-to-back prison sentences for the murder and combined with today's drug sentencing ensures Lorenzo will be in prison for 45 years before he can be considered for parole.
