Gov. Linda Lingle has signed the state's $10.79 billion operating budget bill into law.

The budget bill also includes $2 billion for capital improvements in the fiscal year beginning July 1.

Other measures enacted by the governor yesterday include a law aimed at addressing coqui frog infestation on the Big Island and creation of an online database of Bishop Museum archaeological information.
