A man was critically injured tonight in a pedestrian accident in Iwilei.

The male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle shortly before 9 p.m., city emergency services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said. The pedestrian was dragged about 20 feet and pinned under the vehicle, he said.

The man was taken in critical condition to The Queen's Medical Center.
