Fire destroys home in Ocean View area of Big Island

Fire destroyed a 20-by-30-foot single-family dwelling in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates area on the Big Island yesterday, fire officials said.
The dwelling was fully engulfed in flames and collapsed as firefighters arrived at the scene, officials said.
Patricia Genders, identified as the owner of the structure, and two children escaped unharmed but have been displace and all of the home's contents were lost, fire officials said.
The value of the home was set at $25,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
