A man in his mid-40s died after an accident at a Kapi'olani Boulevard construction site today.
The accident happened about 11 a.m. at 1009 Kapi'olani Blvd, the Moana Vista condominium project.
Honolulu Emergency Services Department spokesman Bryan Cheplic said the construction worker was taken to the Straub Clinic & Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 12:07 p.m.
The man was apparently hit with the boom of a concrete pump machine, and suffered severe head injuries, an official on-site said.
