A son of former Honolulu mayor Frank Fasi was arrested Friday night in Waikiki on suspicion of robbery and on two outstanding warrants, one of them involving a parole violation.
Carl F. Fasi, 56, for whom no local address was given, is accused of stealing a man's backpack and cane after demanding money. The victim, 44, who was not injured, pointed him out to police, who arrested him at 9:30 p.m. at Lili'uokalani and Kuhio avenues.
Fasi had not been charged last night and was still in police custody.
