HONOLULU — The Hawai'i chapter of the Sierra Club has issued its biennial environmental scorecard that rates how state lawmakers voted on environmental issues.
The environmental group says Democratic Rep. Hermina Morita was the only legislator to receive a perfect score. She's the chairwoman of the House's Energy and Environmental Protection Committee.
Democratic Sen. Les Ihara received the highest score in the Senate.
The Sierra Club says Republican Rep. Colleen Meyer received its lowest rating for the third time in a row.
Republican Sens. Gordon Trimble and Sam Slom tied for the lowest ratings in the Senate.
The Sierra Club says its scorecard gives a picture of how lawmakers voted and acted on key environmental sustainability issues.
