Liliha Public Library will tomorrow host "Lahaina Noon Storytime," a 45-minute outdoor Children's program will observe the "Lahaina Noon," a local phenomenon which occurs when the sun is directly overhead.

On July 26, the University of Hawai'i's Institute for Astronomy will present the "StarLab Experience," which features is a portable planetarium that will allow attendees to learn about the night sky and astronomy.

The "Lahaina Noon Storytime" will be held at noon tomorrow. At exactly 12:37 p.m., shadows from vertical objects will disappear. Participants are encouraged to wear sunscreen during the program. Parents or caregivers must accompany their children. The library will officially open according to their regular schedule at 1 p.m.

The "StarLab Experience" will include two 45-minute shows, with the first beginning at 10 a.m. July 26. Space is limited as the StarLab can accommodate up to 25 children or 12 adults per show. Contact the library to reserve a seat.
