The Institute for Human Services and the Hawaii Public Housing Authority are teaming up for a public housing repair effort set for Saturday at Kalihi Valley Homes. IHS board members, staff, guests and volunteers and others are expected to start repair work at about 8 a.m. and finish by 2 p.m. IHS this year is marking its 30 years of serving homeless individuals in Hawai'i. The organization provides food, emergency housing, and basic amenities for men, women and families in two shelters.
