The Tokyo College of Music High School will give a free orchestral concert Friday in the McKinley High School auditorium.

The 7 p.m. program will feature Japanese and Western pieces. The event commemorates 30 years of summer studies at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.

The Tokyo high school is attached to the Tokyo College of Music and is considered one of the best institutions for up-and-coming classical musicians in Japan. In their second year, students have an opportunity to travel to Hawai'i to study English.
