Volunteers are needed for a stream cleanup behind Kalihi Waena Elementary School on Saturday.

The cleanup runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The event is organized by Kalihi Ahupua'a Ulu Pono Ahahui, which is dedicated to restoring the natural and cultural resources in Kalihi.

Organizers are looking for 20 or more volunteers to pick up trash along the banks of Kalihi Street, take out invasive species and remove graffiti.

Gloves, trash bags, snack and water will be provided.
