Central Pacific Bank customers can now go online to open a new bank account.

Customers can now open new personal savings accounts, interest checking and "Totally Free Checking" accounts by using their home computer by providing the bank with a signature card or by using an e-signature.

"Expanding our online banking program responds to a rapidly growing customer demand for conducting and managing their financial affairs over the Internet," said Wayne Kirihara, Senior Vice President of Alternative Delivery Channels.
