Two University of Hawai'i students from Japan were followed by a man at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night from Ala Moana Center to their dorm. The man then refused to leave, campus security said.

The man finally left after another roommate arrived at the Hale Noelani apartment unit.

The man is described as 40 to 50 years old, about 5-feet-10, 160 pounds with a crew cut. He was wearing green hospital scrubs, a cream-colored visor cap and light blue slippers.

Anyone seeing someone suspicious should call Campus Security at 956-6911 or 911.

KAUA'I ACCIDENT VICTIM IDENTIFIED

A Lihu'e man who was killed in a traffic accident Saturday has been identified as Troy Medina.

Medina, 35, and his wife, who was listed in good condition at The Queen's Medical Center, were involved in a 3:14 p.m. accident Saturday on Kuhio Highway near the Wailua Golf Course, said Mary Daubert, county spokeswoman.

The accident occurred when a tire blew off a southbound pick-up truck, causing it to fall on its side.

A northbound motorist struck the tire, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line and struck Medina's truck. Medina died at the scene and his wife was initially taken to Wilcox Hospital and later airlifted to Queen's.

It was Kaua'i's second traffic fatality of the year.
