Vi Dolman, longtime Hawaii real estate executive, dies

Vi Dolman was the founder and president of Dolman Associates, Inc., and been involved in local real estate for more than 40 years. She merged her company with Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in 1995 and was a vice president with the merged company. She died Tuesday at age 87.

Vi Dolman, a leader in the Hawai'i real estate community, died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital, said her daughter, Laura Andrews. Dolman was 87.

Andrews said her mother suffered a stroke on Dec. 19, but that she worked hard to recover and "never gave up and never stopped."

Dolman had remained active in real estate sales and even received a commission check this month for a home sale in 2007.

Dolman was the founder and president of Dolman Associates, Inc., and been involved in local real estate for more than 40 years. She merged her company with Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in 1995 and was a vice president with the merged company.

She was a former president of both the Honolulu Board of Realtors and the Hawaii Association of Realtors. She was involved in many community organizations, including Rotary.
