Mayor Charmaine Tavares will deliver her second State of the County address at 10 a.m. today in the County Council chamber on the eighth floor of Kalana O Maui, the county building.

The event is open to the public.

King Kekaulike High School senior and Eagle Scout Rick Yamamoto will lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and fourth- and fifth-grade students from Kamehameha School-Maui who won their age division at the 2008 Na Mele O Maui song competition will perform.

The mayor's address will be broadcast live on Akaku Community Television's channel 53 and on KNUI Radio AM 900.
