ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The University of Alaska Anchorage has attracted a new volleyball coach who already has a national title under his belt.
The Seawolves today announced the hiring of Chris Green.
Green has spent the last nine years as the head coach at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Neb.
The Cougars had a 453-55 record under Green, including NJCAA Div. I national title last year. They were national runners-up in 2006.
Before leading the Cougars, the Gering, Neb., native coached seven years at the prep level, including a four-year stint at Kauai High School.
Green was selected from a field of more than 30 people who applied to replace Michelle Earl, who resigned as UAA's coach in January.
