  • The Haseko Training Fund awarded the 'Ewa Beach Weed & Seed initiative a $10,000 grant to help run its culinary arts program for James Campbell High School students. The program exposes students to the culinary arts industry and culminates in a luncheon that is planned and prepared by the participants and presented to guests and supporters.

Haseko will give an additional $100,000 to the Haseko Training Fund later this month.

Supporters of Weed & Seed are still seeking additional money. Interested donors are asked to make checks out to the YMCA of Honolulu, which has served as Weed & Seed's fiscal agent for nearly 10 years.
