Longtime advertising executive Buck Laird will retire as managing director of Anthology Marketing Group on March 31.
Laird, 65, co-founded what is now known as Laird Christianson Advertising in 1989 with David McNeil and David Wilson of McNeil Wilson Communications. He was president of Laird Christianson Advertising until last April when he turned over the position to Dennis Christianson.
Although he will be retiring from the company, Laird will continue working in an advisory role for Laird Christianson Advertising's hospitality and consumer marketing clients.
"I have great confidence in our current staff of marketing professionals and our experienced management team," Laird said. "As an adviser to the firm, I can pursue new paths of personal growth with full confidence in the well-being of all the stakeholders of AMG."
Anthology Marketing Group was created last July after McNeil Wilson and its sister firm Laird Christianson Advertising acquired competitor Starr Seigle Communications Inc. AMG oversees four subsidiaries: McNeil Wilson Communications, Laird Christianson Advertising, QMark Research and StarrTech Interactive.
