EPA taking nominations for environmental award

The federal Environmental Protection Agency is asking for nominations from Hawai'i, California, Arizona, Nevada and the Pacific islands by tomorrow's deadline for its annual Environmental Awards program.
The EPA's program recognizes individuals and groups for significant contributions to improve the environment in 2007.
Those nominated can be from any field: such as scientists, teachers, journalists, activists, young people, organizations, businesses, public officials and others committed to protecting public health and preserving our natural surroundings.
