A 41-year-old robbery suspect who escaped last night while being booked at the Wahiawa police station is still at large tonight.

HPD Internal Affairs is investigating how Tobias Debardeleben escaped. Debardeleben has previous convictions for burglary and domestic violence and has served time in a Mainland prison, police said.

He was arrested last night in Hale'iwa by officers responding to a robbery call. Debardeleben was allegedly struggling with the male complainant when officers arrived.

Debardeleben is 5-feet-10, 160 pounds, and has multiple tattoos, including "Lucifer" on his neck, "Bones" on his left palm, and a skeleton on his left rib cage. He was last seen dressed in a red shirt, tan pants and black Airwalk shoes.

Debardeleben is known to frequent Hale'iwa and Kalihi, police said.

Debardeleben is considered dangerous, police said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call 911.
