Monarch Insurance Services Inc. is purchasing Bishop Insurance Agency from American Savings Bank in a deal expected to close on Wednesday.

American Savings said it will enter a strategic alliance with Monarch to make sure its customers continue to receive a high level of service and products when it comes to insurance. Monarch is a property and casualty insurance broker with offices in Honolulu, San Francisco, Denver and Bend, Ore.

American Savings, which bought Bishop Insurance in 2001, did not disclose the sale price.
