Hog slaughter here fell last month

The number of hogs slaughtered in Hawai'i during November fell by 17.6 percent compared with a year earlier, U.S. Department of Agriculture statistics show.
The report said 1.4 million hogs were slaughtered here last month, down from 1.7 million a year earlier. It said the total live weight of the hogs was down by one quarter compared to November 2007.
