Road crews will close lanes of Kamehameha Highway next week to work on guardrails, striping and drainage systems, the state announced.

Work will take place Monday through Friday, except for New Year's Day, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

One lane at a time in the north- and southbound directions will be closed between Leilehua Golf Course Road and Waikalani Drive.

Roadwork is weather-permitting. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the work area and to allow for extra travel time.
