The Korean Christian Church celebrates its 90th anniversary with a worship service, followed by a program, at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 28. Lei will be draped over the statue of the founder and a lunch will follow.

SPECIAL PROGRAM TO FEATURE MUSIC
Windward United Church of Christ presents "The Lights of Christmas" at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The service will feature the Windward UCC Chancel Singers, strings and special music under the direction of Tim Schulz, director of music ministries. Childcare will be provided.
The Windward United Church of Christ is at 38 Kane'ohe Bay Drive in Kailua across from the Aikahi Shopping Center.

WORSHIP HELD ON NEW YEAR'S EVE
The Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew will host New Year's Eve festivities to welcome and bless the new year, beginning at 10:15 p.m.
Events include an organ concert featuring John Renke, the cathedral's director of music and liturgy, as well as Holy Eucharist, a worship service with communion, at 11 p.m.; and a blessing of the city at midnight.

TEMPLE TO MARK HANUKKAH FRIDAY
Temple Emanu-El's Hanukkah celebration will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the temple in Nu'uanu.
There will be a community potluck dinner and children's Hanukkah activities with dreidels, menorah and a potluck dish to share. Israeli folk dancing precedes the 7:30 p.m. service, which is followed by a special Chanukah Oneg with refreshments.

CHABAD OF HAWAII HANUKKAH EVENTS
Hawaii Unite the Lights is a Chabad of Hawaii event for Hanukkah on Sunday that will serve as a memorial for the Mumbai victims.
At 7 p.m. in Waikiki at the Kuhio corner of Kalakaua Avenue, Chabad of Hawaii will hold its annual menorah lighting ceremony and will feature prayers for Chabad Mumbai representatives Rabbi Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg.
The event follows a "menorah parade" at 5:30 p.m. which travels down Kapi'olani to Beretania to Bishop; then down to Ala Moana boulevard to the site of the public menorah lighting with Gov. Linda Lingle lighting the Grand Menorah.
Then, at 4 p.m. Dec. 28, Chabad of Hawaii is also planning "Chanukah in Candyland," when participants will build a 10-foot-tall candy menorah and fill it with thousands of candies and jelly beans. A buffet with hot latkes follows with music and performances by the students of the Daniel Levey Chabad Hebrew School; $20 ($12 children 2-12).
