CBKB: Idaho beats Texas Southern, 67-46

MOSCOW, Idaho — Kashif Watson scored 18 points as Idaho overcame an early deficit and cruised to a 67-46 victory over winless Texas Southern today.
Watson scored eight points in the first five minutes of the second half as Idaho (6-5) went on a 15-7 run that gave the Vandals a 42-28 lead with 14:27 left.
Mac Hopson added 13 points for Idaho, and Marvin Jefferson had 12.
Jacques Jones was the only Tiger in double figures, scoring 11 points.
Idaho's defense forced Texas Southern (0-11) into turning the ball over 24 times, and the Vandals outscored the Tigers 23-11 off turnovers.
The Tigers took a 10-4 lead in the first five minutes when Jones hit a 3-pointer.
Idaho responded with a 21-7 run, tying the score at 14-14 and then pushing ahead to 25-17.
Idaho hit 55 percent of its field goals while Texas Southern shot 39 percent from the floor.
