CBKB: UCLA's Dragovic not charged with battery

LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors have decided not to file charges against UCLA junior forward Nikola Dragovic, who was arrested on suspicion of pushing his former live-in girlfriend to the ground during a dispute.
The Nov. 7 tussle landed Dragovic, 20, in custody, where he was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. He was released after posting $20,000 bail.
City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan says attorneys advised Dragovic and his former girlfriend on how to avoid problems in the future.
Mateljan says charges can be filed before the statute of limitations runs out a year from the date of the incident, but nothing is pending.
Dragovic was suspended for one game by Bruins coach Ben Howland after his arrest.
