Five Chinatown robbery suspects arrested

Three men and two women were arrested early Thursday in Chinatown on suspicion of robbing a man of his purse.
The robbery was reported at 4:55 a.m. and the suspects were arrested at 5:35 a.m. on A'ala and North Kukui streets. Police are seeking forfeiture of the van used in the as a getaway vehicle.
Two of the three males suspects — Clarence Cottrell, 20, and Anthony T. Fuller, 19 — are being held of outstanding warrants while being investigated for second-degree robbery. A woman, 20, was arrested for driving without a license in addition to second-degree robbery. All are from a public housing complex in Halawa.
The other robbery suspects are a 19-year-old Nanakuli woman and man, 19, from Halawa.
Police said two of the male suspects confronted a man, 25, and demanded his purse. The victim refused and attempted to run away but was chased down by the suspects who forcibly took the purse.
A witness followed the man and reported the suspects' location to police.
