WAIKIKI
Dedication tomorrow for boulevard upgrades
The Ala Moana Boulevard Improvement Project began in April and will be completed tomorrow.
The private and state partnership project enhanced the gateway into Waikiki, the state Department of Transportation said in a news release.
The improvements include new traffic signals, pavement reconstruction and resurfacing, the addition of a fourth eastbound lane from Hobron Lane to Kalia Road, and median landscaping and lighting improvements.
There will be a dedication ceremony at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Ala Moana Boulevard and Dewey Lane.
