Bitterman giving address at UH commencement

Mary Bitterman, president of the Bernard Osher Foundation, will address graduates at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa mid-year commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20. Commencement has been held on Sundays in the past, but all ceremonies will now be held on Saturday beginning with this one.

Nearly 1,800 students are eligible to receive degrees and certificates.

Doors to the Stan Sheriff Center will open at 8 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are issued, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Balloons and strollers are not allowed inside the Stan Sheriff Center.
