The left lane of Fort Weaver Road southbound will be closed daily next week, Tuesday through Friday.

The area affected is between Old Fort Weaver Road and Renton Road. The closure will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to allow for the installation of electrical conduits.

The work is part of Phase II of a project to widen Fort Weaver Road from four lanes to six, adding an additional traffic lane in each direction from 'A'awa Drive to Geiger Road.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
