HONOLULU — Republican presidential candidate John McCain's pick for a running mate briefly attended college in Hawaii.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin enrolled at Hawaii Pacific College — now known as Hawaii Pacific University — as a freshman in the Business Administration program in 1982.
But she only stayed one semester.
Palin transferred to North Idaho College for the 1983-1984 school year and eventually graduated from the University of Idaho in 1987.
The Alaska governor was born in the small northern Idaho city of Sandpoint in 1964.
