The Kailua-bound tunnel on Pali Highway will be closed this weekend from 7 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday for cleaning and maintenance.

The state Department of Transportation will close Pali Highway between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway at Castle Junction.

Kailua-bound motorists should use Likelike Highway, H-3 Freeway or go through Waimanalo Town.

Only emergency vehicles and city buses will be allowed through.
