Olympics, beginning at 10 a.m. continuing throughout the day, NBC. Yes, there's some more late-night swimming. The eighth and final round will be tonight; there are medley relays for men and women, plus freestyle - 50 meters for women, 1,500 meters for men. Still, this is also when track and field takes over. We'll see qualifying runs as well as e the 100-yard dash finals, with the winner being dubbed the world's fastest human.

"Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde" (2003), 7 p.m., ABC. This sequel didn't generate the enthusiasm of the original. Still, people were happy to see Reese Witherspoon as the bubbly blonde with hidden brainpower again. Tonight, she takes on the governing elite in Washington.

"The Notebook" (2004), 8 p.m., ABC Family. A perfect counterpoint to the Olympics, it's deeply warm and emotional

"The Color Purple" (1985), 5 p.m. WE. This links a toughly involving story and Steven Spielberg's glorious visuals.

"Eli Stone," 9 p.m., ABC. Eli is convinced his vision of a San Francisco earthquake will soon come true. Now he must decide what to do about it.
