Pearl City ousted in Senior League World Series

Canada defeated Pearl City, 2-1, eliminating the Hawai'i and U.S. West champions from contention for the semifinals at the Little League Senior League World Series today.

The tournament for 15- and 16-year-olds is being played in Bangor, Maine. Pearl City (2-2) defeated Maine (1-3), 13-6, in its final pool game also yesterday.

Florida (4-0) and Canada (3-1) finished ahead of Hawai'i in pool play to clinch spots in the semifinals.

Canada scored on an RBI single by Chris Brien in the fourth inning and an RBI single by Justin Atkinson in the fifth.

Keanu Sato singled and scored on an error for Pearl City's run in the sixth.

Pearl City rallied from a 5-0 first-inning deficit to defeat Maine.

Jordan Oshiro went 4 for 5, with three runs scored and three RBIs. Kahana Neal went 3 for 4 with three 3 RBIs and Brysen Honda went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs.
