TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

Olympics (later part), 6-11 p.m. (delayed), NBC. NBC is expecting three gold-medal swims: Women have the 200-meter butterfly; men have the 100-meter freestyle and the 200-meter breaststroke. And there are finals for one event in which the U.S. dominates and another led by the host Chinese: The former is the women's relay of 200-meter freestyle; the U.S. team has the world record. The latter is men's individual gymnastics; China has world champion Yang Wei and the U.S. lost both Hamm brothers to injury.

"Criminal Minds," 8 p.m., CBS. This rerun catches a popular episode from January 2007. In a diner, Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) tries to get a serial killer (Keith Carradine) to say where a woman is being held.

"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," 8 p.m., Fox. As they search for stolen cargo, John becomes separated from his mother and Cameron. He also comes across some harsh possibilities for the future.

"CSI: NY," 9 p.m., CBS. In an abandoned warehouse, the team thinks it's closing in on Suspect X.
