The Doodlebops, a candy-colored pop rock trio with their own Playhouse Disney TV show, will make their Hawai'i concert debut in "Doodlebops Live!," at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Additional playdates will be at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28.

Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodle form the hottest family-friendly pop music band favored by pre-schoolers and young ones. They've toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada and there's bedlam and screaming at their shows.

Deedee Doodle, clad in pinks and purples, is portrayed by Lisa J. Lennox, who plays the keytar (a keyboard guitar). Moe Doodle, whose get-up embraces yellow, orange and red, is played by Jonathan Wexler, and he mans the drums. Rooney Doodle is the fella in blue, enacted by Chad McNamara, and he strums rock guitar.

The act has Canada origins and delivers music, dance, comedic sketches and typically shares life and social lessons.

"This talented trio sizzles when they take the stage, which is why they are the hottest new band for young children," said show producer Kenneth Feld, in a statement.
