The Honolulu Star-Bulletin has outsourced its circulation call center to cut costs.
Some of the nine Star-Bulletin employees in the call center were offered jobs elsewhere in the company, and others were offered positions with the Honolulu company that will staff the new call center, said Star-Bulletin President and Publisher Dennis Francis. The employees in the Star-Bulletin call center earned from $10 to $12 an hour.
"Certainly, it saved us some dollars," Francis said.
