22 arrested for DUI on Big Island

Big Island police arrested 22 motorists for drunk driving last week, including five who were involved in traffic crashes and four under the age of 21.
So far this year, there have been 446 DUI arrests compared with 420 during the same period last year, an increase of 6 percent.
There have been 599 major accidents on the Big Island so far this year compared with 725 during the same period last year, a decrease of 17 percent.
