Maeda Timson is again chairwoman of the Makakilo/Kapolei/ Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board.

Timson won the position Wednesday night on a 6-2 vote. One person abstained.

Kioni Dudley had served as acting chairman since Shad Kane resigned from the board after its October meeting.

Dudley and Evelyn Souza voted against Timson's election, and Suk Moses abstained.

The board has often split on key issues, with Timson part of one faction and Dudley another.

Timson had been the board's chair for many years but was replaced by Kane in last spring's board elections.

Neighborhood board members serve two years.
