Add television executive producer to Audy Kimura's work credits. The singer-composer-guitarist at Hy's Steak House and his business partner Dean Sensui have relaunched OC16's top-rated "Hawaii Goes Fishing" show, premiering at 5 p.m. Sunday, with a new look and cast.

"Dean and I have been diving, camping and skeet shooting buddies for about 30 years, so it's our dream job," Kimura said.

Cindy Paliracio is show host, Dave Lancaster is Reel Recipes and Tackle Tips host, Margot Oshiro is roving reporter, and Mark Kimura (no relation) provides Boating Basic tips. The familiar theme song, a composition by Kimura, remains the same — and he performs it.

"The new look and content in high-def will be a dramatic improvement," Sensui said.

"One of our goals is to promote environmental awareness and 'catch and release' fishing," said Paliracio, a seasoned TV news reporter who grew up fishing with her father in Kane'ohe — even Oshiro goes fishing with her dad when she visits him on Lana'i. Lancaster, a home chef, is the deejay-comedian, so expect some laughs. Mark Kimura is a marine education specialist at Honolulu Community College. ...

AROUND TOWN: Heather Locklear ("Spin City") had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House with Rob Buckley ("Lipstick Jungle"), which left g.m. Jay Kaneshiro gushing. The gorgeous twosome is filming "Flirting With 40," a Lifetime movie about a divorced mom pushing 40, who flips for a young surf instructor while vacationing in Hawai'i. An excited fan from another table approached Locklear and said she was "inspiration to all women over 40." ...

Over at Romano's Macaroni Grill, g.m. Darren Yasui has two Masudas on his payroll — Shawna, the musical theater trouper ("Aida," "Miss Saigon," "Kismet," "Cats," "Beauty and the Beast") and her cousin Catherine (a University of Southern California graduate and a performer, too). Diner faves, they often do duets between table service. ...

Small world: Roselani Ice Cream maker Cathy Nobriga Kim was checking into the Ala Moana Hotel last week when Jason Matsumoto — behind the reception desk, but not the one checking her in — overheard "Nobriga," and said, "I know a Maui Nobriga — Joshua."

"How old is this Joshua Nobriga?" Cathy asked. "He's a sixth-grader at St. Anthony's. My mom tutors him." Turns out Joshua is Cathy's nephew. ...

HERE 'N' THERE: Kaua'i's 16-year-old Daphne Sanchez has been invited to sing at the Spa Resort Hawaiians, Japan's largest Polynesian resort and amusement center in Iwaki, a city two hours from Tokyo. Sanchez (Miss Daffy is her Japan stage name) is working on her debut CD under the guidance of Freddy Von Paraz of the Society of Seven Las Vegas, the anchor act at the Outrigger Waikiki's Main Showroom. Sanchez will sing "Kaimana" in Japanese at the spa's Waiwai Ohana Waterpark, which features an animation character Kaimana and his pet turtle Lino, which are creations by Kaua'i artist Chris Faye. ...

Jazz buffs, take note: Pianist Betty Loo Taylor has two special performances at Chuck's Cellar at the Ohana Outrigger East Hotel, from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday. Saxophonist Gabe Baltazar joins her Saturday jam. ...

Johnny Helm has added P.F. Chang's in Ala Moana to his work sked, with performances at 7 p.m. Fridays and Sundays in May. But he still alternates at three other spots: Lulu's on Mondays, Tiki's Grill & Bar on Thursdays and Saturdays, and Holokai Grill late Saturday nights. ...

RANDOM NOTES: Dave Matthews, who appeared with Jack Johnson in last weekend's Kokua Festival at the Waikiki Shell, will headline the July 3-6 Rothbury Festival in Rothbury, Mich. John Mayer and Widespread Panic are on that bill.
