State Harbors Division personnel on Kaua'i this afternoon were working on recovery efforts involving a 30-foot sailboat stuck in the sand at Hanalei Bay.

The sailboat is 300 to 400 yards from Hanalei pier. The boat was reported adrift at 1 p.m. but firefighters were unsuccessful in securing the boat. Harbors Division personnel took over recovery efforts at 3:53 p.m.
