UH tennis player honored by WAC

Hawai'i sophomore Sophie Kobuch is the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week in women's tennis. Kobuch, UH's No. 1 player from France, won all four singles matches last week.
Kobuch did not lose a set in against Eastern Washington, Idaho, Hawai'i Pacific and Chaminade. She also went 4-0 in doubles with partner Chloe Bihag.
Hawai'i lost its first 14 matches this year, but has won six of eight going into Thursday's WAC Championship at Las Cruces, N.M. The Rainbow Wahine are seeded fifth and play fourth-seeded New Mexico State in the opening round.
