Diamond Head Theatre is seeking volunteers for its next musical, "The Producers," which opens May 16.

The theater group needs to paint, build, sand, and decorate eight doorways, among many other set pieces. It's an opportunity to see theater from behind the scenes and experience the pulse of prepping for a big show.

Among the technical elements for the Tony Award-winning production: 12 complete sets, including four staircases.

Volunteers must be 13 and older, available during the day as well as evening hours. Willie Sabel, DHT's technical director, will place the help and provide training, if necessary.
