Nevada rallies to complete softball sweep of Hawaii, 7-6

Nevada scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Hawai'i, 7-6, today and complete a Western Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep at Reno, Nev.
The Wolf Pack (31-14, 9-2 WAC) won the first game, 4-1. The Rainbow Wahine fell to 31-13 and 7-3.
The Rainbow Wahine led 5-0 after four innings and 6-2 after five. In the bottom of the seventh, the Wolf Pack pounded UH pitcher Kate Robinson for six of their 14 hits. Pinch-hitter Michelle Beach singled to left with two outs to drive in Kym Silagyi with the winning run.
Robinson had a three-run homer to left-center field in the first inning.
The series concludes tomorrow.
