Police today arrested a 20-year-old Salt Lake man near Ala Moana Center on suspicion he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a teenage girl last year.

The man was arrested at Mahukona Street and Kapi'olani Boulevard at 5:50 p.m. for investigation of two counts of first-degree sex assault, kidnapping and five counts of third-degree sex assault.

His accuser is a girl, 16, who reported being pulled into a vehicle in Salt Lake and sexually assaulted. The alleged incident occurred between July 4 and Aug. 31 of 2007, police said.
