Students and faculty from two Kaua'i elementary schools in Kekaha were evacuated today due to a chemical odor at 12:50 p.m.

Two students from Kekaha Elementary School were treated for watery eyes and no one from St. Theresa Elementary School required medical attention, officials said.

Firefighters and police officers spent about an hour checking classrooms at the two schools but were unable to smell the odor or locate its origin.
