Sick crew member on foreign ship flown to Hilo hospital

The U.S. Coast Guard has airlifted a sick worker from a foreign container ship off the coast of the Big Island.
The call came in at 8:15 a.m. from the ship, which is 50 miles off the coast of the Big Island, said Coast Guard Petty Officer Michael De Nye. The 22-year-old crew member was taken to Hilo Hospital with an unknown illness at 10:15 a.m.
