22 arrested for DUI on Big Island

With DUI roadblocks and patrols continuing, 22 motorists were arrested on the Big Island last week for drunk driving.
Two of the drivers were involved in a traffic crash. Two were under the age of 21.
So far this year, there have been 398 DUI arrests compared with 376 during the same period last year, an increase of 6 percent.
There have been 544 major accidents on the Big Island this year compared with 625 during the same period last year, a decrease of 13 percent.
