AIG HAWAII

AIG Hawaii has announced several executive promotions:

Raleigh Awaya was promoted to executive vice president, technology and operations. He joined the firm in January and is responsible for all systems and processes at AIG. Previously, Awaya was chief operating officer at St. Francis West and Liliha Hospitals.

Ann Nakagawa was promoted to chief financial officer for Hawai'i operations and assistant treasurer. She joined AIG in 1996 and will continue to serve as vice president and assistant comptroller. Prior to joining AIG, Nakagawa was senior vice president, treasurer and controller of Grand Pacific Life Insurance Co.

Wenli Lin has been promoted to vice president and chief marketing officer, AIG Hawaii and vice president, Hawaii Insurance Consultants.

Stephanie Tom has been promoted to vice president and director of human resources and administration. Tom joined the firm in 2007 after serving as vice president of human resources and administration for Finance Factors.

FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK

First Hawaiian Bank has announced the following promotions:

Iris Yoneda Iwana has been promoted from small business personal banking officer to assistant vice president and personal banking officer, Main Banking Region. Iwana is responsible for creating financial solutions for small business clients.

Carole Oshiro was promoted from tax officer to assistant vice president, tax and reporting officer, Trust Service Center. Oshiro has 40 years of tax experience.

Dean Duque was promoted form branch manager to assistant vice president and branch manager, Lahaina Branch. Duque is responsible for overseeing branch operations.

Leesa Kim was promoted from personal banking officer to assistant vice president, Main Banking Region. Kim joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2004 and was previously a branch manager with Central Pacific Bank.

George Pascual was promoted from personal banking officer to assistant vice president and personal banking officer, Main Banking Region. Pascual joined First Hawaiian Bank in 1989 and has more than 19 years of banking experience.

HONOLULU ADVERTISER

The Honolulu Advertiser has promoted media manager TOM KUNZ to director of audience development, responsible for driving the development of target audiences. Also, market development director Alvin Katahara has been promoted to director of new business development, working with the advertising department to better position The Advertiser's many print and online products in the marketplace.
