Robinson, UH stop San Jose State in softball, 1-0

Kate Robinson pitched a six-hit shutout to lift No. 21 Hawai'i to a 1-0 victory over San Jose State in a Western Athletic Conference softball game today at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
UH is 27-11 overall and 5-1 in the WAC. San Jose State is 21-23 and 3-4.
Robinson (13-3, 4-0) struck out six and walked none. It was 11th complete game and sixth shutout of the season.
Hawai'i got the only run it needed in the bottom of the first inning. With one out, Kaulana Gould doubled to left-center field and went to third on a single to right by Clare Warwick. Robinson hit a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Gould to score.
